  • Novice tournament starts on Saturday, February 25
  • Games start at 3PM.
  • Time control is 60 mins plus 30 secs.

Novice Tournaments

The club of chess players, by chess players, for chess players.

Objective

The aim of Noble Park Chess Club Novice tournaments is to provide a pathway for young and less experienced players to ease into tournament chess. The pathway is best represented by the diagram below. (Click the picture to expand the view)

Pathway for Novice players

The pathway provides an opportunity for them to experience playing chess with senior club players. Just like senior club tournaments, weekly commitment is required for the novice tournaments.
